WHAT IS PILING ?
Piling is a technique used to form deep foundations for buildings or structures.
Piling is required when there is a soft soil strata that is unsuitable to form foundations to reasonable depth, the pile is the vertical structural element of a deep foundation which is either drilled or driven in to the ground and formed of concrete or grout and steel reinforcement.
Mini piles are small diameter piles which are constructed utilising mini piling rigs which makes it ideal for working on restricted sites, like piling for a domestic extension.
Once constructed the piles are then typically connected and tied in to the foundation system or caps ready for the sub structure to be built on.
